Whether she's performing her latest single or trying out TikTok dance trends, Shakira knows how to cause a stir among her fans. But she's also well-known for something else that's completely separate to her musical talents: her memorable taste for bold TV looks.
The "Hips Don't Lie" artist exemplified this back in May 2022, when she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her NBC series Dancing With Myself. Not one to shy away from a good fashion moment, Shakira walked onto the soundstage wearing a dark red Mugler sleeveless mini dress. The onscreen outfit featured spaghetti straps and a scoop neckline. But what took her ensemble to another level was the see-through corset with cutout panels overlaid by a sheer material placed all around the bodice.
With a piece that exuded simplicity yet sexiness, Shakira decided to shake things up with accompanying accessories.
To give the apparel more of a rocker edge, the former The Voice coach walked out in a pair of black leather platform heels. She styled her caramel-colored hair in her signature loose waves and let the moment speak without jewelry. Coupled with natural eyeshadow and a neutral lip color, she made every element appear cohesive.
When a clip from one of Shakira's segments circulated on YouTube, viewers immediately commented on what she wore for the promo event. Unanimously, folks thought she was gorgeous in her nighttime attire.
"This woman is just unimaginably gorgeous. Shakira ages like a fine wine," one person wrote in the comments section. "Shakira is [46] years old ... insane. She looks amazing as ever," another added. "Shakira is a different breed of beautiful and talented," a different user exclaimed.
Time and time again, the "Whenever, Wherever" songstress blows everyone away with whatever outfit she chooses to model. Though NBC recently canceled Dancing With Myself after one season, surely it won't be long before Shakira demands attention with the next statement garment she wears.
